U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham pledged to donate his congressional salary to the Wounded Warrior Project during the government shutdown.

In a recorded message, Graham said, “I shouldn’t get a salary while other federal employees are denied the ability to go to work.”

The Wounded Warrior Project, which will be receiving Graham’s funds, was founded to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of inured service members.
