Colt adds Night Cobra .38 to wheelgun offerings at SHOT Show (VIDEO)

The latest installment to the storied gun maker’s line of revolvers is a 6-shot double-action-only .38 aimed at the concealed carry market.

Featuring a matte black Diamond-Like Carbon coating over a stainless steel frame, the DAO Night Cobra has a bobbed hammer and custom G10 grips on what Colt reps told Guns.com is a “drag free” configuration designed not to hang on clothing or cover garments.

The front factory night sight can be easily replaced by the user and swapped out for other options without a gunsmith. The gun is rated for +P loads.

An addition to the company’s Cobra line, the gun isn’t on Colt’s website yet but MSRP is set at $899, or about $200 more than its all-stainless older brother which gets by with a red fiber optic front sight post.
